East Brunswick Sandpipers Swim Team

Crystal Springs Family Waterpark sponsors and hosts the Sandpiper Swim Team. The team practices and competes at Crystal Springs and other swim clubs in Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties from mid-June through July 31. Swimmers 18 years old and under are welcome. The team will be approximately 85 swimmers comprised of five age groups. The age of the swimmer as of June 30 will determine his/her age for league participation. Time Trials for all swimmers will be held in the beginning of June. All prospective team members are required to have a seasonal membership at Crystal Springs prior to registering. Please note: All swimmers age 8 years and under must be able to swim the length of the pool (25 yards) continuously and unassisted. It is recommended that "8 and unders" have a familiarity with the four competitive strokes: free, back, breast, and butterfly. Swimmers 9 years and older must be able to swim two lengths of the pool unassisted and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the four competitive strokes. The competitive swim season is only five weeks long. All swimmers are expected to participate in all ten meets and must practice at least three times a week to participate in the next meet.
