Hello Sandpiper Families!!

The Parents Association is excited to welcome Coach Jeni Stefanowicz to our coaching staff this year, in addition to Coach Trevor and Coach Kerry.

The coaches will be having tryouts at Crystal Springs for NEW TEAM MEMBERS ONLY only Tuesday (6/1). If your swimmer is 10 & under, the tryout will be from 6-7 PM and if your swimmer is 11 & over, the tryout will be from 7-8 PM. Please arrive, ready to swim, 15 minutes prior to the session. If your swimmer is unable to attend this date please email us so we can discuss other options.

This summer we will follow similar precautions to last season but things will evolve based on the governor's orders as we progress. Please understand that we must abide by the rules and guidelines set by the East Brunswick Department of Recreation and Crystal Springs.

All swimmers must enter and exit through the Slide Gate. There will be a mandatory Covid questionnaire (Google Form) that must be filled out for EACH swimmer prior to each practice/meet. Once inside the gates all swimmers must follow Crystal Springs guidelines regarding masks and social distancing.

Currently, no parents will be allowed inside the gates during practice unless there is a physical need from their swimmer. The locker rooms will not be open to change at any point during practice. Likewise, during our meets, only parent volunteers will be allowed inside. We will be needing the cooperation and support of our parent volunteers in order to effectively run our swim meets!

Due to the large interest in our team and continued covid restrictions, the coaches will be making cuts this summer. The coaches will notify you of their decision as soon as possible following the tryout.

Practice for ALL SWIMMERS is to begin on Wednesday (6/2) and will be Monday - Friday at Crystal Springs from 5:45 - 8:15 P.M. We will have two practice groups, which will be split based on age. Currently, the split is going to be 10 & Under swimmers plus 11-12 girls from 5:45-7:00 PM and the remainder of the team will practice from 6:45-8:15. This age group split is subject to change, based on the number of participants after tryouts.

We are hoping this season will function more like a normal summer season but there will most likely be some changes as we get further into the season due to ever changing restrictions. Our hope is to have mostly in-person meets, but things are still being worked out with all of the teams within the league. Please pay attention to your emails in case we have significant changes to our restrictions or practice schedule!!

Hello Sandpiper Families!

Registration for the East Brunswick Sandpipers 2021 Season is NOW OPEN at East Brunswick Department of Recreation and Parks! You must register online as they are not accepting in-person registrations at this time. You can register online here. Please note that registration alone does not guarantee your child a spot on our swim team and there will be tryouts in early June. You must be a registered participant in order to try out.

We are hoping for a more "normal" swim season this year. We are optimistic that dual meets will be happening on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings! The practice schedule will split into groups, but plan for your swimmer to be available for practice weekday evenings between 5:45 PM and 8:15 PM. The practice groups will be determined based on enrollment, age groups and the ability of the swimmers. All swimmers will be screened upon entry for every practice. Masks will be worn by the swimmers and coaches upon entry into the facility and at times where social distancing is not possible.

If you have any questions regarding the upcoming season, don't hesitate to reach out. We are so excited for another great summer season!

We are looking forward to seeing you soon!!
